Aspen Vista gets it's name from the magnificent forests of Aspen which surround the home. No matter what the season, they provide a beautiful setting for this rustic authentic log cabin. The amenities in the cabin are great. This home will has a private hot tub on the porch with gorgeous mountain views! It is perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking or skiing or just to enjoy the amazing mountain views. It has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a queen bed as well. There is an additional game room in the back with a queen futon. The living area also has a queen futon sofa so you have many choices for sleeping arrangements. The cozy wood-burning stove adds to the charm of the cabin and the large living area with two-story picture windows for viewing the surrounding forest and white-capped mountains. The home is surrounded on all sides by 35 acre lots so you will be secluded and not be able to see anything but the scenery and wildlife. The National Forest is just a short-walk away. The town of Fairplay is less than 5 minutes away with restaurants, shopping, and the historic ghost town of South Park which can be visited in the summer and fall. If you like shopping and night life, Breckenridge is only 25 minutes away. In Breckenridge, you will find world-class skiing and a quaint Victorian town full of restaurants and shops.
Fairplay is the activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and is often referred to as the Base Camp for all activities some of which include hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding, ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, 4-wheeling, ATVing, mine exploring, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.
If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. It is a great area to call your "Base Camp".
This is a beautiful home to spend any season of the year. The access is easy and 4-wheel drive is not a necessity but is recommended in the winter months. You can find all of these activities within minutes of the home:
